Dr Heidi Sevestre is a glaciologist, Director of Scientific Communication for American-Swedish NGO International Cryosphere Climate Initiative, and scientific communication consultant for AMAP, the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme, one of the Arctic Council’s working parties.
She teaches glaciology to Masters and doctorate students at the University Centre in Svalbard in the Arctic. She is an international member of The Explorers Club and has led many polar and mountaineering expeditions from the Andes to the Himalayas.
Her objective today is to make scientific data more accessible and encourage people to join the fight against the climate crisis.
